Our Traditional 6-Step Fertilization Program is crafted to maintain your lawn’s health and appearance throughout the year with expert applications and targeted treatments.

This program ensures vibrant color, robust growth, and effective weed control from early spring to winter, tailored to meet your lawn’s seasonal needs.

Each step provides precise care, from kick-starting growth in spring to fortifying your lawn for the cold months, promoting lush and healthy grass.

How the Program Works

STEP 1.

First of two pre-emergent/fertilizer combinations are applied to enhance color and for season-long control of grassy weeds such as crabgrass, foxtail, and spurge. Broadleaf weeds are spot treated, if present.

STEP 2 with Natural Aeration.

Slow-release fertilizer is applied that will encourage good, consistent color of the turf. This application also contains a second dose of pre-emergent to provide season-long control of crabgrass and other grassy weeds. Lawn will be spot sprayed or blanket sprayed.

We recommend adding Natural Aeration with soil builder to this step to stimulate microbial activity, creating a thriving ecosystem in your soil which leads to improved water retention, increased nutrient absorption and enhanced overall soil health. STEP 3 with Grub Control.
Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer for early summer to maintain good color and health. A preventative grub control is also applied. Weeds will be spot treated if present.

STEP 4.
Slow-release fertilizer plus iron to maintain good health and boost color. All weeds will be spot treated at this time, including a post-emergent for any crabgrass that is present.

STEP 5 with Natural Aeration.

Slow-release fertilizer to get your yard ready for fall and to help it bounce back from summer. Lawn is also checked for grub activity and treated if needed. All weeds are spot treated at this time.

STEP 6.
Winterizing application. The turf will store the nutrients over the winter keeping the roots healthy. This will also help to give your lawn a quick green-up next spring.

SunCo did a great job initializing the sprinkler for the Spring season. The tech was prompt and very thorough. He even replaced a sprinkler head that was not sprinkling correctly so that the lawn was more evenly watered. I appreciate SunCo's expertise.

We were very impressed with Brian's knowledge of plants and trees. Brian listened to my request of wanting Junipers that were 7'-8' and he delivered with what I asked for. Manny's crew was hard working. I gave 4 stars not 5 because we had to leave for an appointment (unfortunately one that we could not miss) before they were finished planting all of the junipers (8 In total) and the placement of the largest ones were not where I had told them I wanted the most coverage. In time they will grow and have the coverage I wanted but I was hoping for that coverage sooner. With that said we do plan to have Brian work on other projects for us in the spring.

Wow! Where to start. From beginning to end SunCo is the way to go. I was so nervous how things would go when looking at spending this much money to completely revamp my backyard. It is definitely money well spent and i have no regrets. Manny’s crew came out and cleaned up the back yard. They never stopped, went above and beyond. Everything they dug up for me they got the roots ensuring it could all be replanted. Manny’s crew pays attention to detail, they cleaned up after themselves. SunCo is the best lawn service company we’ve ever had. They quickly turned the unhealthy lawn from our recently purchased home around.
